Every team that competes in IC3 has a minimum of 4 faculties on each team, with a maximum of 10 teams competing.

We maintain a strong focus on recruiting students in the final two years of their degree to ensure a high quality contribution from each faculty to a team’s final solution.

The competition is comprised of a 3-hour case crack, 20 minute presentation and 5 minutes Q&A. The case is multidisciplinary and broad enough for students from all faculties to incorporate their respective knowledge when determining a feasible solution. Teams are evaluated primarily on their creativity, presentation skills and ability to incorporate different areas of knowledge into their solution. Teams that stand out are recognized for their efforts at the awards ceremony, allowing competitors and judges to mingle and discuss the day’s events.
